The band made a mark on the jam band scene with a reputation for hook-oriented songwriting and as one of the earliest jam bands from the Midwest to achieve some national success. Relentless touring in the late 1990s and early 2000s built a loyal fan base that call themselves "family," many of whom get together for the band's recurring music festival, the Big Wu Family Reunion.

Grammy-winning Texas blues legend., he co-founded The Fabulous Thunderbirds  in 1974, the Texas guitar legend only now brings his slashing axe to Rochester. From 1969, when he opened for Jimi Hendrix, to recording with Bo Diddley, Vaughan continues a smoldering career. He appeared in the 1998 film, Blues Brothers 2000, in a band led by B.B. King; he opened most of Bob Dylan's summer 2006 tour; he worked with Dennis Quaid on the movie, Great Balls of Fire!; and he has released five solo albums -- three of them hitting Billboard's Top 10 in blues. He won two Grammys with his brother, Stevie Ray, in 1990; one in 1996 with Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt and others; and his own in 2001.Along with Lou Ann Barton, belting out her lyrics in a twangy voice so full of Texas that you can smell the barbecue sauce. Gypsy Lumberjacks where formed a year ago, with the intent of performing live music. Their songs are composed around simple and emotive passages, about life and our pursuit of living. a high energy, foot stomper of a band. Perfect get your body moving and mind rolling with tight harmonies and a "finger-picking good" rocking open mics and campfires. In 2006, Josh came along bringing some tasty percussion with a djembe. It wasn't long before he was doing open mics with the duo and they had written their first few songs. In the fall of 2006, Travis snuck in through the backdoor and surprised the hell out of everybody with some new rythms and more tribal percussion. We had stumbled upon a very unique rythmic/grassy sound, and wanted to keep it rolling. In the fall of 2007, Ryan picked up the accoustic bass guitar and became the latest addition.
