Grammy-winning Texas blues legend., he co-founded The Fabulous Thunderbirds in 1974, the Texas guitar legend only now brings his slashing axe to Rochester. From 1969, when he opened for Jimi Hendrix, to recording with Bo Diddley, Vaughan continues a smoldering career. He appeared in the 1998 film, Blues Brothers 2000, in a band led by B.B. King; he opened most of Bob Dylan's summer 2006 tour; he worked with Dennis Quaid on the movie, Great Balls of Fire!; and he has released five solo albums -- three of them hitting Billboard's Top 10 in blues. He won two Grammys with his brother, Stevie Ray, in 1990; one in 1996 with Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt and others; and his own in 2001.Along with Lou Ann Barton, belting out her lyrics in a twangy voice so full of Texas that you can smell the barbecue sauce.
